New Morning School’s curriculum and philosophy are influenced by the work of Swiss psychologist and philosopher Jean Piaget. Piaget developed the fields of developmental psychology and cognitive theory and spent countless hours observing children. The way children develop and the manner in which they build their understanding of the world is at the very heart of our curriculum.
Jean Piaget was named one of the 100 Most Important People of the 20th Century by Time Magazine.

The school will do whatever it takes to support each student; they meet children where they are, instilling a love of learning and confidence in their abilities. The students get an abundance of quality time outdoors, which is so important for mental, physical, and brain health. The parents and staff collaborate in so many ways, and the school truly embodies the term "community." Both of our sons attended New Morning School's preschool program, and we can't say enough wonderful things about the kind and loving teachers, administration and community as a whole. Our boys thrived with a curriculum that allowed them to choose activities and subjects of interest to them, smaller class sizes, and an open and engaging community. I was able to see first hand how engaged the teachers and administrative staff were, and how much they care for the children. Highly recommend the preschool program at New Morning School!
