Hands on Learning
At New Morning School, science is taught by a dedicated specialist to grades K-8, offering high-level content and hands-on activities. Our inquiry-based curriculum helps students explore and understand the natural world through interactive learning experiences.
Science education at New Morning school is brought to the students through hands-on experiences. In keeping with the philosophy of the school as a whole, we know that students learn best by doing. Science is an opportunity for them to try things for themselves, make their own discoveries and conclusions and strengthen their resilience when experiments don’t work out as planned. All of our science units are aligned with the national standards, and have been tailored to meet our own standards of incorporating hand on learning.
