Completing a year-long science topic explaining the life cycle of salmon, elementary and middle school students from New Morning School, Plymouth took a bus trip to Ferguson Township Park in Okemos to release salmon into the Red Cedar River.
The salmon were raised in a classroom tank at NMS over the course of the year. The fish were then carefully placed in containers for transportation to the river, which ultimately leads through Lansing, Ionia, Grand Rapids and Grand Haven on the way to Lake Michigan.
