Co-Op Experience
Building a Strong Community Through Active Participation
At New Morning School, our community of parents and teachers believe that our children should receive the most comprehensive and hands-on education possible. With the active involvement of parents and volunteers, our philosophy of participation has allowed us to not only minimize our families’ expenses, but to also teach our students the importance of community and cooperation.
When you join New Morning School, not only does your child experience a joyful and academically engaging school, you also join a community of committed families that work together to make our school an exceptional place to learn and grow for all kids. All of us are part of this community and participate in the school program.
The co-op program at New Morning School creates a true school community with the attitude “we are all in this together.” As a parent aide, I know my daughter’s friends and their parents, some of whom are also aides. They, in turn, know my daughter and can give me more perspectives on how she is doing. I know what happens in my daughter’s classroom, which makes it easier to talk to her about school even on days when I am not there. Having aides in the classroom also allows kids to have more individual attention. The teachers at New Morning School truly love the kids and know how to reach them where they are. From observing and helping them, I have learned a mindset, language, and skills that have made me a better parent. And, as a bonus, I get to pay less tuition! New Morning School offers a terrific education, a caring community, and a lower cost. I can’t imagine a better situation for my family.
