The Power of Drawing coming up June 24-28

New Morning School summer art camp starts June 24.

This program — for students ages 6-10 — offers the chance to create stylized masterpieces after observing the work of Frida Kahlo, Franz Marc and Leonard DaVinci.

The Power of Drawing is offered through Young Rembrandts and New Morning School.

Observing structural form, participants will render Henry Ford’s historical Model T automobile, as well as the organic microscopic insides of molecules and human cells. Using colored pencils, pastels and design markers as well as some larger 12×17 format paper, students will also have fun rendering dinosaurs, ocean creatures and anime cartoon figures.

The workshops run June 24-28 with half-day sessions (9 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to 3:30 p.m.) available for $105; full day sessions (9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. are $200).
